That is the unusual part. Dry, over fabric to start with, and considerably slower than the oiled version because nothing is helping anything along. It takes about twenty minutes before it becomes obvious why anybody would work this way.

It suits people who find the oiled version slippery and oddly impersonal, and people who have somewhere to be afterwards and do not want a shower in between.

It will not do anything therapeutic. A clinic exists for backs and I would rather write that here than have somebody arrive with an expectation nothing on this site can meet.
