At somebody else's address an evening finishes when I leave, and leaving is a thing I do well. At mine it finishes when the other person decides to go, and there is always a stretch where it is over and two people are still in a room.

That stretch is the worst twenty minutes in this work and my listing is arranged entirely around not having it.

What it costs you is that the timing of the end is mine. Most people never notice; the ones who do are usually the ones who wanted to stay.
